Central School is buzzing with excitement as we prepare for our second annual PTO Fun Run! Scheduled for Friday, October 3rd, from 4:30 PM to 6 PM on the Central School fields, this special event is all about family, community, and fun. Everyone in the Central School community is invited to attend—no tickets necessary!
What is the PTO Fun Run?
The PTO Fun Run is more than just a run; it’s a community event designed to bring families together while raising money for our school. During this exciting afternoon, kids and their families will have an opportunity to participate in a fun walk/run a set course covering the school playground field.
The premise is simple: gather donations leading up to the event and run together for fun. All proceeds from the Fun Run will go directly to the PTO, supporting various programs and activities that enhance the educational experience at our school.
How to Participate: A Step-by-Step Guide
Getting involved in the PTO Fun Run is easy! Here’s a step-by-step guide to ensure you and your family have a fantastic experience:
Sign Up for Pledges: Start by talking to friends, family, and neighbors about sponsoring your run. Collecting these pledges is essential for helping our school prosper. Be sure to signup for your pledge page here.
Buy a Sign to Support your Student/Classroom: As the date approaches, be sure to buy a sign to encourage your student and their classroom. Signs can be purchased here.
Join the Fun on the Day: Come to the Central School fields on October 3rd, ready to run! Don’t forget to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Bring along water bottles to stay hydrated and be prepared for a lively atmosphere filled with cheering families and friends.
What to Expect on the Day of the Event
At the Fun Run event, you can expect a lively, energetic atmosphere filled with enthusiastic families. Here are some special highlights:
Running Groups: Runners will be divided into groups based grade level. Each group will have about 10 minutes to walk/run the course. Groups will be:
Kindergarten / 1st
2nd / 3rd / 4th
5th / 6th
Teacher Lap: Cheer on your favorite teachers as they take their turn on the course.
Family Fun Run: Be sure to stick around and run the course with your whole family.
Activities for Non-Runners: We understand that not every family member might want to run. There will be activities and games organized for those who prefer to cheer from the sidelines. Including: food trucks, bounce house, playground, DJ, etc.
